Not sure how I took such a crappy pic...beer is way better than the blurry mess.

 

$250 is a hard no for me for any band. High on Fire and Abbath are scheduled for this year’s Dark Lord Day. I wonder what tickets run

 

A new beer for me. Left Hand - Dry Irish Stout - I like it! It has a slight smoky note to it and has some of the hallmarks of my favorite Irish Stout - Murphy's.

It is a little bit thinner and less creamy than Murphy's. Also a bit more roasted grain and less chocolate note. Makes me want a local Berthoud Fireside Scottish right now for the body and higher ABV, haha.

The last beer did not bowl me over as expected but rather made me want more beer. To solve this perplexing state of affairs I look to the future: Schell's Deer Brand. Kind of a love/hate beer here. I live on the I Likey side of that street. I like the taste of it on tap, straight from the bottle but it's gotta be outa the can and poured. Every beer is different. Chairs!

Trader Joe’s Vintage Ale (actually Unibroue) 2011 edition. Spices mostly attenuated, but an interesting vanilla flavor developed - wasn’t present in the fresh version.

I saw a single of this in town. This was picked up in Kansas last weekend. Lively weekend. Son#2 is home from College. His Great Aunt was just diagnosed with Brain Cancer, we told him it might be a good idea to come up & visit.

Son#2 bought a car today ( Had to co-sign _). Son#2 isn't thrilled to inherit his 2012 Ford Fiesta ( we will buy it back for a dollar ). The brakes need some work & they will get it before he gets it. If we get this car to hold up for 6 months to a year, we are winning.
