Mike, enjoy every single minute! (even if they seem to be a PITA). The kids grow up way too fast. Mine are 31 and 30. One lives in Missouri and the other in North Carolina. I'm infinitely proud of them but miss the daily interactions. I rely on my wonderful wife, my dog, and beer. Cheers!

Back home with a Hopslam I've been neglecting for too long. I need to make room in the beer fridge for today's Oskar Blues purchases.

 

Backmasking, a pretty decent oatmeal stout from 3 Floyd’s. I’m fairly partial to the barrel, but a plain ol’ straight up good old fashioned oatmeal stout still hits. Perfect ingredient for chili, too.

 

Great brew about 15-20min from me...great to see 8 bit getting out there. How did you score this?

 

Had to run quick to the herb store so might as well just finish off the last of the Fair State Big Doinks IPA. It is dank. I personally enjoy dankness in beer and such. Cheers!

Sunday afternoon beers at Equal Parts Brewing. They make some great lagers.

Sonder, at 4.5% ABV. This is an odd one, called a a botanical lager brewed with lavender, hibiscus, lemon verbena, and a bit of sage. While I'm always an ultra traditionalist, especially with lagers, this one is pretty good. Full review over at the NBW thread.



Then their Armour, Vienna Lager. This is incredible, just an excellent example of the style. I picked up a four pack to go as well.

Smash burger for lunch from the food stand outside.

 

Nice! I play that song with one of my bands every few weeks. And Stout in chili sounds great! It certainly works well in pot roast.

 

Surly Axe Man - found some cans for $1 each because their best by date was Friday. It's still great, though.

 

A fan of Dread Zeppelin since the beginning. It’s hard to resist Elvis/ Reggae/ Zeppelin all in a stew.

 

Back home, and opened an Ayinger Maibock. This is another excellent lager, and you should expect nothing less from this great brewery. Again, review over at the NBW thread.
