    Bro, the dryness on this beer is superb. Trader Joe's never fails to disappoint me w/ fresh Swami's. Always in abundance, and always fresh. This beer is amazing, @RaulMondesi. And truthfully (not that I ever cared), more bang for the buck than Pliny. These are my top 2 as far as readily available IPAs are concerned. Much love, and cheers!

    look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.5

    Crystal clear, golden hued body; dense, slow-rising, small bubble carbonation; thick head, white and loosely spongy, long-lasting. Pleasant aroma, lots of esters, pear-like; light biscuit note. Fine toasted grain taste with a somewhat sharp, piercing hop bitterness, somewhat metallic. Medium body; smooth, lightly velvety mouthfeel; gentle warmth; semi-dry.

    An otherwise good beer somewhat marred by a rough, somewhat acrid hop bitterness that detracts from the beers balance.

    ...Oscar (aka 'Thundering Rodent') and I are back on bachelor duty for a few days while Mrs. BeerGoot hangs with her sister again (primarily to help her with medical transportation)...it's nice that USPS delivered two new pieces of vinyl for me: Tony Williams "Spring" and Neil Young "Dume"...I also anticipate a Tavour deliver tomorrow or Wednesday...

    It’s a Sierra Nevada kind of day for this old beer nerd. First up is this magnificent WCIPA that I’ve always enjoyed - and this has 3+ months of whiskers on it (canned 11/9/23) and is still drinking exceptionally well. I don’t know how SN does that with their hoppy beers, but I appreciate that they do. Absolutely love it.
