    Smoking some St Louis Ribs on my Stick Burner (offset smoker) here in Florida and having some of these (my new Favorite)

    Yeah…. Kinda warming up here in Central Florida. Glad to see you doing an IPA which are my all time favorites too

    Apple juice is all that comes to mind with this beer. Lacking tartness but delicious as hell.

    Right along here ba. Second brew from these guys. Rennsteig, German style black lager, schilling. Very smooth stuff with good notes of chocolate, coffee, and grained breads,

    1) Ayinger Celebrator (6.7%): A German Doppelbock with flavors of caramel, brown bread, toffee. Some toasted, slightly roasty chocolate notes.
    versus
    2) Klosterbrauerei Andechs Doppelbock Dunkel (7.1%): A German Doppelbock with flavors of smooth bread, rich caramel, and tofee. Smooth. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) Ayinger Celebrator:     German Doppelbock battle. First is Ayinger Celebrator ranked #1 on BeerAdvocate. It's dark with more hints of roasty cocoa. I really like it. Next is Andechs, ranked #2. It has more traditional flavors of brown bread and caramel.
    Teh two best of the style, and I'm going with Ayinger. Slightly lower in ABV, but fantastic toasted cocoa and hints of roasted flavors. Finish is dry and not too heavy or sweet. Both are amzing, but Ayinger establishes itself as the best.

    You must be feeling adventurous today as your beer choices are from one end to the other.
    White stouts always fell short for me but cantaloupe sour sounds like it could go either way
