Lupulin Barrel God 2024 Imperial Stout Aged In Barbados Rum Barrels, 15.4% ABV. Pours thick and black with a driving-finger of brown head that left no lacing. Ahhhroma is malt, rum, and chocolate. Taste follows, plus brown sugar, slightly sweet, slightly bitter, with some alcohol burn. Excellent mouthfeel, overall world-class. No add-junks here. I'll get more. RBA FTW.

Sure seems like I'm going the wrong direction lately as far as my cellar size. I keep running across some fantastic local and regional BA beers that have been outstanding+, and I love RBA stouts. Starting to think that I'll buy less BCBS this year and plan on buying more local and regional BA stouts. I don't want to get into brewing, but it would be a blast to help plan/develop/test a BA stout. Pick the barrel, help name it, etc. A store-manager I know was shocked when a BA stout he provided the barrel for was named after him!

Hello mates! Thanks @MadMadMike for 4153. My band rehearsal was axed from this eve as one fella didn't feel good. Dang it. This past Friday got axed as well. Time for plan B: Cerveza Republica La Tuya from Portugal. Only 3.5% ABV! Salute!

I haven’t had a Lord Hobo beer in over 3 years

Bodacious Vagabond
Nice cloudy golden yellow appearance, thin soap head and decent lacing
Aroma is juicy orange, honeydew, passion fruit, kind of a floral/ strawberry note and earthy smelling
Taste is pretty muddled, mainly citrus some melon and passion fruit, and a berry note on the back end and some peach
Mouthfeel is thick, kind of chunky, slightly sticky feeling that stays with you. Finishes up dry and slightly astringent
Overall not a bad IPA, fairly easy drinking and a bit heavy so not really a pounder.

 

Wharf Patrol DDH Foggy IPA from Humble Sea. Really good! My first beer from Humble Sea but I’d gladly check out more of their stuff.
