    Perch is one you dont see a lot on a fish fry but is oh so good. A brewery in St. Paul was doing perch ,it was not all you could eat.

    ...walleye, eh...???...Mrs. BG and I may need to check it out...of course, my hankering is for Lake Erie perch (which I last had at a food truck at the Wooly Pig Farm Brewery in Ohio)...

    Brings back memories. I grew up in NJ and was surrounded by different sized lakes. Some man made. Some not. Anyway, before I discovered booze, drugs, and girls I used to fish a lot. Caught my fair of perch. My dad (fucker would be 104 years old this month) used to cook them on the grill for me. Mom and two sisters wanted northing to do with it!

    Double Nug. I’ve never bought into the hype but it’s a fun DIPA to drink. And it’s potent. Good for a Friday night. Cheers!

    Lupulin Barrel God 2024 Old Forester BBA Imperial Stout, 13.6% ABV. Pours thick and black, with a ring of brown bubbles. Aroma is strong bourbon and toffee. Taste is strong bourbon, slight toffee, slightly sweet, moderately bitter, some bourbon burn. Decent but dry mouthfeel, overall very good. Not a fan of this one, and I suspect I wouldn't be an Old Forester fan.

    I'm glad I only bought one. If you like Old Forester, this one is for you.

    I’ve been doing cod this year since my fishing buddy had his hands full with a sick wife this fall. She’s thankfully recovered, but no lake perch until next fall. Ocean perch is not nearly as good for my tastes. Walleye is a great second choice. Cheers.
