I will use this opportunity to snag a couple of new packs from the 3 Fonteinen webshop.

 

Dammit I was so busy today this slipped my mind

 

Only caught a few minutes of the virtual tasting today. However, I did catch that LC will be getting D18. Not sure if that’s been talked about before or not.

 

Anyone try/have feedback on D18?

 

The general Untappd feedback seems to be that it’s very coffee forward

 

Popped For LC last night and it’s possibly my favorite SP stout since D9.

 

Extremely nuclear hot take: If LC is going to have this many members they need to officially drop the 5 person limit thing for pickups. People proxying shouldn’t have to make multiple trips to do the brewery’s distro.

You're too nice a guy. I proxy for two people who are both extremely relaxed about timing on them getting beers and I hate it lol. I'd probably just stop beer altogether if I was supposed to pick up for 7 people.

 

I'm with you. I proxy for two people and no way I'd add another. It's a pain in the ass.

 

7 people feels like it would be a full time job requiring spreadsheets and whatnot.

 

It is. Proxied for ~10 people for two years for a different brewery. I had a Google Sheet to keep up with inventory and shipping info.

 

Is it contradictory to proxy for so many people but also complain about the number of people in the membership?

Honest question. I don't proxy for anyone so I'm sure there are extenuating circumstances. I guess not a guarantee that they wouldn't just back fill those spots if someone lost their proxy.

 

I would imagine he’s not proxying for randos. I proxy for friends I’ve met in the beer world. And if you’ve been in the beer world a while you probably have quite a few friends who are now members. But also, this proxy rule doesn’t apply to only la coterie, it’s general public too, so the proxy rule has nothing to do with membership size.
