Next up is Holy Mountain The Dark Kingdom. A pretty solid Czech dark lager, but they went a direction in the flavor profile that just isn’t my thing. I mean, it’s still good, but not great, you know?

@SABERG - check out this video, it's pretty interesting. I especially liked the underwater footage. Anyone interested in the Quabbin reservoir might find this interesting, truly a unique place.

 

Yeah, it’s like, this is a well-made beer and I’m sure some people just love it. And I like Czech dark lagers a lot, typically, but they just went in a direction that doesn’t suit my palate. When doing reviews, I can only review based on my impression of the beer, right? I like to hope it all evens out in the end.

Of course, there are also a fair number of not-so-well-reviewed beers that get raves from me because I just like some things … looking at every cherry beer I’ve ever reviewed

I have not seen the beer but definitely will on the look out for it. Veil has done very few collabs so I got to believe when they do it is a good beer.
