I don’t have this particular beer on hand but I still have a few bottles Optimal Wit brewed by Port City which your post encourages me to have with chow tonight.

I have absolutely no doubt that they could tell me what's in it. They grind all their meats themselves. As i mentioned, they're known for the quality of their meats - they're not cheap, but the quality is top notch.

Ask them next time and let me know what the cuts and grades are. Not busting balls. It should say on the label if it's a singular ground piece of meat like : "ground round" which incidentally makes horrible burgers- too lean. What's the name of the Butcher Shop?

With the NCAA Men’s College Basketball Tournaments going on right now this glass was fitting. Chicken nuggets, boxed shells and cheese, instant butter mashed potatoes with gravy and canned corn tonight. Cheers!

Hoppin' Frog Q.O.R.I.S. The Quasher Russian Imperial Stout, 15.7% ABV. Pours thick and black, with a ring of brown bubbles and an oily sheen. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, char, and dark fruit. Taste is hop bitterness, coffee, chocolate, roast malt, moderately sweet, quite bitter. Quite complex. Dry mouthfeel, overall outstanding. Improves as it warms.

I'm kind of digging the smaller 8.45oz dose of a high-octane stout, but I'm going to need a smaller glass.

Pours a pale, soft yellow, mildly cloudy; huge, fluffy head, white and soapy in texture. Very pleasant aroma comprising notes of orange, pineapple and peach. Nice yet muted taste; light citrus; orange and white grapefruit; biscuit; citrus rind bitterness. Medium body; mildy sharp and acidic; gentle touch of residual sugar bearing a lightly chewy biscuit texture.

With an unknown age (but at least around three months based on the date I received the beer), the looks and aroma are awesome. The taste and mouthfeel, though, seem a bit weak although I have no particular angst with the beer. I'll just have to add this NEIPA to a growing list to try again at with a fresher version. Bottom line - this seems to be a well-crafted beer, not overly heavy or overbearing. I'd put it in the general class of something like a Focal Banger as opposed to a hazy juice bomb or milkshake sort of hazy beer.

I have been doing that very thing for over 50 years, when I worked in a kitchen and at home. Freaks my wife out.

I heard this fight will be on Netflix (which I already subscribe to), rather than Pay-per-View. If it doesn’t cost me anything extra, I’ll definitely watch it. Here’s hoping it’s a sanctioned fight rather than an exhibition. The last Tyson fight I remember watching live was versus McNeely, so my expectations are appropriately tempered. :beers:
