On & On: Old Fashioned by Half Acre. Tastes...exactly like an Old Fashioned, which is kinda pointless in my opinion.

Here's a nice little drop: Greenport Harbor Otherside IPA. 6.8% Good stuff! Incredibly tangy and sharp. Parching tongue feel. Amazing lemon and citrus. Cheers BAs!

On our way to a new-to-us brewery, we made a pit stop at…
    [IMG]

…a new to us brewery. Actually, we saw the vineyard of Hillsborough from up the road and decided to get a wine tasting, not realizing they had beer as well. So they are actually Hillsborough Winery, Brewery, Vineyard.

First impressions: the St Pat’s colored Pilsner is pretty tasty (assuming it’s not the green improving the base beer), The blonde isn’t quite as successful, and the saison (far right) fares a little better (it’s pretty decent until the slightly odd aftertaste) for the Belgian-style beers. The two hazy IPAs are on par with expectations (though the left, Stone Cold Fox, has a lovely bitterness to it).

Best of the evening is this one. I can find it in the US sometimes, but it's never fresh like this! For $1.19, it puts a smile on my face. Prost!

I've never been to Germany, so I have to ask... do they serve the beer in the bathroom? What is up with all that tile?

haha - that's my hotel room. Grabbed a few from the grocery store across the street before crashing. The bathroom happened to be a great spot for photos! That said, I'm sure beer is served to Germans in every room, including the bathroom

Really great news today @beerjerk666 ! So glad to see your return and hear that everything went as well or better than expected.

Also, very nice portrait gift @Shanex !

A nice offering as usual from likely my most familiar and favorite NW Brewery.

Fremont 2023 Melange Barrel- Aged Cuvee Number 2

Full review in the New Beer Weekend #191 thread. Message for our Tavern crew here is this is a very nice cuvee blend of stout and porter, liking how this all came togther.

Two beers posted yesterday and I forgot this tune on both posts. Slipping in my old age. Out of Berwyn Illinois, a near South Side suburb of Chicago. Founded by four members still in the band including Jim Peterik who also founded Survivor during this band's lengthy 1977-1990 hiatus. My accounting firm covered both bands taxes, at least while I was there.

    Survivor - I Can't Hold Back

RIP Jimi Jamison - Lead Vocalist for this tune and most of their hits.
