Was supposed to go yesterday but prior obligations did not allow me to go to the makeup today. Oh well beers are cheaper in my family room!

Finally getting a little bit of sunshine now. More hops with a Collective Arts Ransack The Universe West Coast IPA from Hamilton, Ontario. Juicier nose, but crisp and dry palate, quite refreshing after the Ruination.

Picked this up today. I thought it was from the Uconn Brewing Innovation project I read about, which is an effort by the university to support CT breweries with help from the college of Agriculture, the college of Engineering and the college of Business. They have had students brew at Two Roads recently and at Kingsmen, maybe more.
Turns out this beer is done by Kingsmen on their own. Kingsmen manager used to be a Uconn football co-captian and they worked out a marketing deal with the University.
No date on the can, but its drinking pretty good. Body is much lighter than the picture shows and its very stone fruit forward. No info on the can or the website about the hops, malt etc.
BTW- Go Huskies.

Wasn’t sure I’d be able to do this, but I’m starting the weekend early. Having a relatively fresh barrel-aged beer for a change. Watching the women’s Oregon State-Notre Dame game. The Pacific Northwest has the Beavers plus both men’s and women’s Gonzaga teams still in the tournament so I have my plans set for today. Cheers!
