    1) Drekker King of The Thing (8.3% canned 2/27/24): A NEIPA from North Dakota with Citra hops for flavors of orange citrus, tropical citrus, some sweet peach. Juicy, soft, and smooth.
    versus
    2) Drekker Doomsday Device (8.3% canned 3/26/24): A NEIPA from North Dakota with Mosaic for flavors of dank orange, tropical berries, blueberries, mango juice. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) Drekker King Of The Thing: Drekker IPA Battle of Citra vs Mosaic, so you know this is going to be a fun battle. First is King Of The Thing. One of my favorites from Drekker. Shows the Citra hop well and even adds a distinct tropical note.
Next is Doomsday Device. All Mosaic. Drinks juicier than I expected. A little bit of dankness. Still pretty juicy and bright. A tough battle and not an easier winner. Both are excellent.
I think the bright freshness of Doomsday Mosaic is superb and I actually prefer it today. I suspect this brightness will fade quickly within a couple of weeks however. I can't be unfair to King Of The Thing, which is an amazing Citra NEIPA, and I think if canned on the same date this would get a slight edge.

Ribs are pretty easy - I like the low and slow method. The important thing is to remove the membrane on the underside of the ribs - it's inedible and really has to go. I usually wedge a butter knife under the membrane to get it loose enough to get my finger in there and peel it off.

Then I apply a rub of choice and bake them for about 5 hours at 250 degrees. I usually have no complaints. Cheers!!

Do you remember when Brown Ales were a staple on 80% of any brewery's standard lineup? Enjoying a lovely interpretation from Hi-Wire in Asheville.

Out front in the 86 degree heat with a Head Hunter. Prepping to hatch 300 45ACP 200g JHP for consumption this month. I'll have to check and see if the local craft shack got another Fat Head's drop and maybe The Waldo's

Afternoon, BAs! Yesterday I made the decision that from now on, every day when I get home from work, instead of jumping on the computer, I'm going to pour myself a beer (or a glass of wine) and play some piano. Every day.

@nicholas2121 @ChicagoJ Apparently brewing Old Style is being brought back to Wisconsin including La Crosse City Brewing, which I think is a good move. I am not sure about the original Krausening process however.

Continuing with the Ukrainian theme. This has quite a bit of flavor considering its low ABV.

Always wanted to have this and Heady in a side-by-side. Never could find them both at the same time. Well, I have Focal Banger on hand and had one yesterday. Focal is much more intense in terms of hop flavor and also way more bitter. This almost drinks like a 5% pale ale in direct comparison.
