Happy Sunday BA's! I've starting prepping the bike to begin riding again. I've been off of it since about September. New Continental 5000S's with new tubes and a full lube job. Really excited to be able to ride again, it's been my longest break since 2007. Focal from the can on a sunny, 75 degree morning.

@SABERG - glad to see that Berkshire Hadley Grass is back - this batch was brewed on 4/8/24.

Quite delicious.. for those that don't know, Hadley Grass is a reference to asparagus. However, there is no asparagus in the beer :sunglasses:

Revolution/Half Acre On & On: Part 3 (Blended Double Barrel Imperial Stout aged in Wild Turkey and Russel's Reserve barrels). Bourbon spirit and spice, charred oak tannin, vanillin, and coconut come through plenty. Like the aroma, the taste leans sweet, but the barrels do dry it out quite a bit. Caramel, toffee, molasses, some maple, cocoa powder, nougat, some nuttiness, roasted malt, and some dark chocolate. This is my least favorite of the On & On series, but there's no denying that this is still a great beer by two breweries that know their way around a barrel.

after a quick ride into Philadelphia this morning I’m able to slip away from the noise a bit to have a small beer on the balcony.

Dough I prepped is rising. Will give it 1.5 hours then seperate it and give it another 45 minutes before stretching. I still need to prep a sauce in the meantime. Planned on an overnight ferment but the benadryl took me out early.

hot and hazy day planned in south west jersey
    cheers

Next up is a Twin Barns Palmer's Town NEIPA and it's delicious! Reading the can Palmer's Town was founded in 1768 then became Meredith NH, where Twin Barns is located.

We got a little four-way going on here in Oaklyn, NJ. Tonewood is a nice little place with some solid beer. @jonphisher (sitting across from us) wasn’t yanking our chain about this place. I think @ChicagoJ might agree, but don’t want to speak for him.

Living Ribbon witbier with lemongrass - light and tasty, citrusy with a sneaky herbal to grassy bitterness.

Braupakt, the much-discussed collaboration between Weihenstephan and St. Bernardus. This leaned way more Belgian than German, in my opinion. Very tasty!
