Happy Saturday BA's! Got the wife off to work and decided to stay up and watch yesterdays stage #6 of the La Vuelta Femenina, beautiful images of northern Spain. Also today the Giro d'Italia stage #1 of 21 stages starts at 0630 and we'll get an arial tour of Italy from the race helicopters. And lastly we have the 150th Kentucky Derby running at 1857 this evening. A busy day that I'm starting with a Deschutes Black Butte Porter that's tasting great! Oh, and May the 4th be with you..........

 

This is exactly the juice I need to get Saturday going. Cheers all.

 

This reminds me that the bigger craft beer companies still struggle to produce true haze. Price was right anyway.

A decent entry from Flying Fish, one in which I can actually smell the vanilla!
Final Impression and summation: 4.25 One of the few times I could actually smell vanilla. The ethanol is well-hidden, showing up when I try to move. In general, moderate on both palate and nose, certainly unoffensive, actually worth trying.

Nice stroll through a ‘brocante’ (flea market, basically.,) that surrounds Saint Aubin Cathedral - built over an ancient cemetary - supposedly haunted - opened in 1853.
It combines Gothic, Romanesque and Byzantine styles, and is the largest religious construction site of the 19th century in Toulouse.,,

Parish Brewing Ghost in the Machine IPA



Hazy light gold color with white cap and great lacing.

Aroma of bright herbal hops clearly displaying a ripe citrus character, I get pineapple and apricot.

Taste is a delightful mixture of the things found in the scent with an added sharpness in the hops. I don't really get the herbalness of the scent, rather a melange of fruit tones ranging from tropical richness to apricot lushness. Lots going on here, very complex flavors elevated to a highly sophisticated plane. This one has a fullness of hops without bitterness.
