Excellent stout. Probably the only one you'd want to drink in the summer. Mosquitoes eating me alive.

I watched most of the race outside, reminded me of when me and my dad used to watch it on a 13 in black and white on the back porch. Miss those days. Cheers!

The bottom line, this is the consensus most popular Russian Imperial Stout among the BA crowd, at least in terms of breadth when we conduct tastings over the past couple of years. A worthy competitor for certain, everything one would like in the style including a solid hop and bitter presence that combined with the strong flavors makes this a very well rounded and enjoyable offering.

 

Agreed and it’s too bad as coffee flavor is good. No worries though. Good to try new beers and they all can’t be winners. Cheers.
