    ...just had a nice meal of roasted pork loin (with bacon), a salad (featuring lettuce and snap peas grown by our neighbors across the back alley), and sugar-free applesauce with cinnamon...

    ...and watching a fine Billy Wilder documentary on TCM about the Memphis Belle -- Memphis Belle: The Story Of A B-17 Flying Fortress (digitally restored) -- a fine tribute for those in WWII (and other USA wars past and present) who made the ultimate sacrifice for which this holiday is meant for...the Memphis Belle crew survived, so many other 8th AAF crew members did not...

    Definitely today is a great day for most. I've said to others before but I wouldn't even try that large of a piece of salmon on the grill. I would end up flipping it and having it fall to pieces,very impressed

    Tired Hands BA stout with coffee and vanilla added. First one I had was nuclear, but after three + years, it's world class IMO. I forget nothing BA. CHEERS and LOVE on this Memorial Weekend

    That trip to American Cemetary in Cambridge UK still puts a lump in my throat, 89K of the dead were Airmen. So many bodies never accounted for. Was happy that a few of my guys in Hawaii got to go in on support roles to recover bodies over in Asia, told then how jealous I was.
