What beer are you drinking now? #4239

I was so excited about grabbing the Heady today I took it, looked next to it and grabbed new Kettlehead- didn't even read the label figured I couldn't go wrong. Stupid me this is an Imperial Sour Ale - Double Blueberry, Mascarpone Stuffed French Toast.....Noooooooooo.
Tastes exactly like French Toast. I feel violated.

I'll need a couple more for a fair review, but first impression, short story: earthy.

Just me, but I haven't seen a Kettlehead yet that's appealed to me. They all look like juice bombs to me and I'm pretty much over that style. I'll pass on them, especially with the exorbitant prices.

I do enjoy sours, but that one sounds like a hard pass to me.

 

When a buddy says I have an extra 4-pack of hill do you want it for cost, I’ll never say no.

These guys just don’t make a bad beer period..

 

Ours is a cub Cadet 46” that has taken a beating, but is a good machine. I need to show it a little love soon. I’m hoping once all the plants and trees are in, the greenhouse panels get installed…then I can strip her down and clean her up!

 

That is the worst. And that sounds like a Satanic flavor combo

Job might be going down the shitter soon. Time will tell. The ball-less wonders of the executive team made a mess of things. Conversations are likely to get heated and uncomfortable tomorrow.

Drinking some Guinness FES now @beergoot. This one might be the new go to daily drinker stout. It’s thick, flavorful, human ABV, and doesn’t cost $30/500ml.

I've actually had some Kettleheads I've loved but they are rare around here - why I just grabbed this today. I'm not a huge fan of sours and less of a fan of multiple adjuncts in beer. I would never buy one of those "Slushies" for 30 bucks a 4 pk. But that's me. I get theres a market for it. The simplest type beers are the hardest to make. Nowhere to hide. Cheers brother!

I know! So I had some. Its not terrible.......that is until you have that lingering artificial maple flavor. As a Cook for many years I've used alot of pure Maple Grade B syrup in recipes. I lived in Vermont, NH. Maine and.now RI. This tastes fake to me but who knows? Whatever it's not really a good idea unless it's HOTD or tailgating. Prob perfect for that.

 

Big giant Barrel Aged beers I can dig it
