Oh no, I cracked my favorite Saint Arnold glass. I have had this for like over 15 years



Oh well...on that note...it is Saint Arnold 30th Anniversary Grand Cru time.

"Our 30th Anniversary Grand Cru is a culmination of our most ambitious endeavors in barrel aged beer. At the core, it’s our Commitment Imperial Stout, which we aged in a variety of different bourbon and whiskey barrels for different durations – between two and four years. The barrels were then blended into sweet and fortified wine barrels: Madeira, Tokaji, and Tawny Port for additional aging. Finally, these barrels were blended a second time to create our Grand Cru."

Review over at the NBW thread, but this is amazing. At 16.8% ABV, this is huge but so damn well balanced. Reading my Claude Ollier novels this afternoon.

Lupulin Imperial Raspberry Truffle Imperial Porter, 9% ABV, at their Sioux Falls taproom. I previously rated it 4.27, but that time it was somewhat sweet. Today it had almost no sweetness. Didn't detect any truffles.

We’re at Glasstown Brewing in Millville, NJ. I’m starting with Nightcap, a Belgian Blonde Ale. Glasstown is good at brewing Belgians generally. Cheers!

 

Got the lawnmower blade installed and finished up weed whacking my poison ivy patch. Luckily it's cool enough to wear jeans and long sleeves with worrying about heat stroke. Rehydrating with a Heady. Cheers!

 

I hope that beer tastes better than that can looks lol. Good on them for brewing a WCDIPA though.

Fun fact: My elementary school's colors were blue and gold.
