My second pour is an Alias beer: Alpine Slide, a really good Helles. Perfect on this hot afternoon. Cheers!

 

1) Hop Butcher Unwind Your Mind (7.5% canned 4/8/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Mosaic, El Dorado, & Moteuka for flavors of tropical orange, berries, some grape and lychee. Tropical.
versus
2) Hop Butcher Loophole Technicality (7.5% canned 4/16/24): A NEIPA from Chicago with Amarillo, Strata, & Galaxy for flavors of tropical pineapple, mango, and peach. Tropical and sweet. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

Winner:
1) Hop Butcher Unwind Your Mind: Happy Saturday and time for a Hop Butcher IPA Battle. First is Unwind Your Mind. Second try at this. Not super impressive in the first review. Tropical, but the Moteuka and Mosaic provide a sweet grape and lychee flavor to make it pleasant and interesting.
Next is Loophole Technicality. First try at this and rated as World Class on BeerAdvocate. High hopes here. Very tropical and sweet. Some nice mango notes. Also some peach. My bias is I don't usually enjoy the peach flavors in IPAs, which is probably why I've never been a fan of the Galaxy hop. This one is even sweet for Hop Butcher standards. Good if you like tropical and sweet IPAs. I'd probably give it less than average for Hop Butcher, but the first review is always harsh and subsequent reviews usually lead to higher ratings. Giving Unwind Your Mind the win here.

 

This is correct. Many of us view widespread lockdowns as, "The good old days."

It’s sunny with a warm breeze this afternoon, it’s 98° in the shade…my big ass fan is blasting away, so I’m comfortable. I’ll be back in a little bit with another new to me beer. Stay hydrated children of the Now - Cheers!

 

Drinking s TRVE Brewing Valley of the Moon, WCIPA from Colorado. Columbus ,Zappa,Azzaca hopped , with nice bitterness. Very good.
