Joining @VABA with some more German beers...the always great Tucher Hefeweizen.

More Yo-Yo Ma as well. His incredible band with Chris Thile and Edgar Meyer...Goat Rodeo.

Pretty low-key t-storm moving through at the moment, looks like there's a line of storms moving southwards towards Rhode Island. No worries here, enjoying a Heady Topper before I make some angel hair pasta with roasted peppers and chili oil.

@champ103 - check out this performance - her drummer is one of my favorite drummers. The guy has such finesse and dynamics, and a really broad array of styles. I find him really interesting to watch and listen to. He's not in your face, but to me, the best drummers are the ones who provide the backbone of support to the band and he really excels at it. The whole band is excellent!

Those are exactly the best drummers, it is hard to convey that to some people sometimes ha. This is great, will save it for later so I can watch the full video. Thanks.

As a drummer I want the drummer to be either groovy as hell and play to the music, or just ridiculously flamboyant, doing stuff I can’t figure out. No in between.

The middle kid played baseball for the first time last night after a year layoff. Laced a double (RBI) in his first at bat and popped up to the pitcher in his second-swung at a pitch above his eyebrows  Had some adventures in the outfield but made a great throw to the cut-off man that ended up nailing a runner at home. Proud of that kid. Too hot to drink outside. Stone Double Bastard in the #Supermom glass that I stole from Mrs. DavetotheB. Grilling in the queue...Cheers!

When I saw her in person, I couldn't take my eyes off of him (Rafael Barata). He's got quite an impressive resume.

From a non drummer, just a fill in brass player. Originally played trumpet, but learned to play trombone, french horn, tuba to fill in whenever was needed at the time (I was never the best trumpet player, and awful soloist, just OK enough to be in some bands, then filling in the sound with other instruments ha). But another big plus for a drummer is to be able to go in and out of styles seamlessly. Maybe that is more for jazz drummers, but being able to go from swinging, to Latin beats, to marching, without missing a beat. Yeah, that is a good drummer for me
