[IMG] This is a very nice Pale Ale from Braeloch Brewing in Kennett Square PA. Called Variance.
Ever since Baltimore's Monument Brewing stopped making Pagoda Ale, I've been on a quest to find a pale ale that is that good, and so far this one comes the closest. Too bad good straight-up pale ales have not been "in" for a long time ever since hazies took over. However I am hopeful that some breweries are starting to make them again. I agree with Mr. Kellerbier from Wisconsin above, btw. 2SP brewery in nearby Aston PA made an EXCELLENT one but then they stopped. I've been bugging the brewer Bob Barrar ever since, to please bring it back. Talk about hard to find! A kellerbier! (Sorry I don't know if this picture will come through or not, never did this before.) /Users/judithkay/Desktop/IMG_0677.jpeg

Oh well the pic didnt work.

I don't often sing the praises of Cape May Brewing Co., but Sea Seeker is flat out good! It's another hazy that uses El Dorado to bitter really well. Cheers!

Not sure why anybody would make a 17 percent ABV saison, but I’m pretty sure why I’d drink it.

Heard this song this morning and immediately thought of Goodfellas.

    Tornado Watch in NH?

Haha, that's enough reason for me to have another as the storms roll in.

    1) BlackStack Lady Luck (7.0% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Nectaron and Superdelic for flavors of blood orange, tropical pineapple, grape, stonefruit, and mango. Sweet.
    versus
    2) BlackStack Pseudoscience (8.4% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Citra, Nectaron, and Nelson for flavors of Orange citrus, pineapple, white grape, berries, and mango. Clean. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner: BlackStack Pseudoscience.
Happy Sunday BeerAdvocates. Time for a BlackStack IPA battlle. Both showcase New Zealand hops. First is Lady Luck. A new release with Nectaron and Superdelic hops. Getting a lot of sweet orange, grape, and stonefruit. Sweeter for 7.0%. Good stuff as usual from BlackStack.
Next is Pseudoscience. A collab with Toppling Goliath with some Citra, Nectaron, and Nelson. Pretty stoked for this one. It's got the Toppling Goliath Citrus flower note plus some sweet pineapple and mango notes I usually get in BlackStack. Even some vinous grape notes from the Nelson. Surprisingly clean for 8.4%. A fantastic collab between two breweries and getting the win here.
Excited to mark this as my 2024th beer reviewed on BeerAdvocate. This is a banger.

You have to upload the pic and then copy the link and paste it. Since it looks like you're using a PC, here's how.

These directions are for a PC but it should be pretty similar on a mobile device.

I drank many pints at their brewery before they named and bottled it as Wulver. When I arrived a quick look at the signs looking for the Wee Heavy one penned in magic marker. Now Dire Wolf, a fine stout (and song), that’s Wolf’s Ridge

Yeah, that's a good one - tasty!! Every now and then I run across Guatemalan Antigua peaberry or Cameroon peaberry, but it's fairly infrequent. I love peaberry coffees. My favorite coffee though is Sumatran dark roast - I love most Indonesian coffees. Cheers and enjoy!
