What beer are you drinking now? #76

So this has been my longest want. I even went so far as to posting my entire cellar for trade two years ago for a single bottle even though the reviews kind of suck. Finally. Finally, I'm trying it. Its glorious! Well the experience mostly. Its a good beer and a very unique/different BA stout, but it has some faults. A real highlight of my beer drinking career!




And now some tunage!

 

Seriously, every January I'm hitting the gym; watching what I eat; enjoying hefes instead of stouts; avoiding pornography; being kind; thinking positive; and working harder.

By December, I don't know what a gym is; I destroy whole pizzas alone; I'm pounding bourbon barrel stouts; I have calluses; I hate everyone I see; I'm sure the world is going to end; and I need a vacation from all the bullshit.

These months are separated by one day.

Dan this is my favorite Jew Brew so far. The bottle says this is like Duchesse De Borgone but I say it makes Duchesse look pedestrian at best. To me DDB is overly vinegary, this is very balanced between sourness and fruitiness. I'm picking up hints of cherry and raspberry switching to a sourness with a slightly acetic character that leads to a clean finish. About 30 seconds after I swallow the malt base comes back into play with a biscuit note that I find very attractive. Bravo Dan, this is phenomenal.

 

4balance! What's up, man! Long time, no post. How's the Prairie? I've been wanting to try their stuff for a while now, it all sounds great and right up my alley.

Good to see you! How's life treating you? This Prairie is quite surprising, crisp and refreshing. Maybe we can work up a trade soon, I'm just getting back in the groove! So glad to be back drinking good brew with the best BAs on the planet! Cheers bro ~

 

just finished a nice bomber of big bad baptist. great coffee aroma and flavor. not much whiskey, but a really satisfying bottle.

NG Coffee Stout to start the night. Yet another solid NG brew

 

Had a couple of tasty brews on-tap at our local watering hole: ST Unearthly and He'Brew Jubelation Sweet 16. Came home and grabbed a Brown Shugga to watch the remainder of the Cotton Bowl.
