I like Focal and Heady, but I think Focal has it by an edge for me. Unfortunately, I don't have any more FB at the moment. Cheers!!!

I like Heady better. Both are great but Heady FTW between the two. IMO of course .

    American IPA

Deep gold color with lasting off white cap.

Aroma of earthy pine and pithy grapefruit. Certainly hop forward.

Taste of piney hops first quickly joined by caramely malt. The two are well balanced and each neatly offsets the other.

Medium full texture with balancing carbonation.

Overall it's a well crafted IPA that leans toward the malt rich piney side of things.

Mine are around 18$ after tax at total but I happily pay it when I get fresh packs. The Lager comes regularly so I end up getting it.

    Hey!
Back for the the next few days after being on the wagon for 4 weeks.
Here's a new one from Mt. Holly Lager.

Brewed at von Trapp Brewing, Stowe. VT.
    16 ounce can packaged 06/05/24.

Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one inch pure white head over a very bright body with some with lacing.

Nose of citrus and slight mint with herbal notes present.

Taste is a bit sweet at first with slight tropical fruit. Citrus and slight pine notes take over in the middle, finishing with slight citrus pith and pine bitterness.

Mouthfeel is good; slightly creamy, with near medium carbonation.

Overall, a quite tasty and rather unique take on a lager and shouldn't be overlooked.
    Get it!

    Cheers!!

    C&P from NBW #206.
