I’ve been saving this very special beer from @GreenBayBA for the right space and time, and this is it. Just got home after spending the day celebrating first grandson’s 5th birthday, and tomorrow we’ll be hootin’ and a hollering over my Pops turning 83.

2019 Brewers’ Reserve Barleywine Ale from Lakefront Brewery. I could seriously make a meal out of this beer. Holy decadent, chewy, rich and thick, mind-blowing barleywine, Batman. Thank you, Micah, this beer exceeds all expectations. One of the finest Barleywines to ever go down this hatch!

Got soaked in more ways than one at Childers last night–it was one of the greatest and most unique live shows I’ve ever seen. What a trip.

Thanks Larry, I’ve been making sour dough bread for a while. I have a 4 year old starter I’ve been using. Unfortunately we will kill a loaf in a day. I have to learn moderation.

 

Yup.one of my favorite foods: A massive taco salad made with ground turkey and lots of fresh fixings piled high. Hard to believe I'd get sick of restaurant food right?

 

Now, don’t get me wrong. This $32 bottle of BA Olympiodorus is pretty flipping excellent. Warmed now, it’s as creamy as a melted chocolate bar with a sublime pull of Willett on the sips. The ABV is whackamole big. I might or might not sneak back for more tomorrow, though I have soooooo many house projects, then three days of golf, that I shouldn’t. But I might.
