#2, almost 5 years of whiskers on this, and it’s still drinking great - lots of roasty coffee flavors, and a nice bit of dark chocolate. Absolutely love it.

Live Oak makes some nice stuff, I got to try some Pilz and a pre-prohibition lager.

Two from Wunderkammer Biermanufaktur for tonight's new-to-me beers.
First up is Reverie, a Barr Hill Gin barrel aged ale.

500 ml bottled June 2023 from a blend of various brew dates.

Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a slightly hazy straw colored body with lacing.

Earthy nose with oak, slight funk and herbal/floral notes.

Taste is near perfectly tart with oak, slight funk, and that earthiness giving way to a real nice Barr Hill Gin barrel flavor at the finish.

Very nice mouthfeel with medium carbonation.

Overall, earthy, funky, gin in a beer is fine with me!
A very refreshing offering from Albany, VT and would have another (or two) anytime!!

I saw them in 1969 at the Rhode Island auditorium - they were great, but there was a huge riot afterwards and you could hear gunshots being fired. That ended up with a temporary ban on all rock concerts in the city. But that was one dynamite show, they got the audience really pumped up.
