Picked up a sixer of this nice Kolsch while at Trader Joe's recently - decent brew for $1 a can!

 

This is real nice: Canal Park Stoned Surf IPA. Picked it up at the brewery when I was there 18 days ago. Duluth is a good little city for advocating beers. Cheers!!

These "summer" beers from the mixed Sam Adams 12 pack going down quickly.

 

Duluth and the North Shore are both fun great food and brews and beautiful scenery.

Looks like our normal Tuesday 3 mile walk $2 pints route will be underwater for a little while. Heavy rains up north from us is finally making its way to the Quad Cities this week, causing Mississippi River flooding, and putting our wonderful walking path underwater. We will not be deterred, there will be walking and drinking tomorrow. This is a photo from an earlier walk.

Maybe one more day to pick my favorite blackcap raspberries that are our local forage treat, amazing amount and quality this year, but much work to get them. Five days busting through thicket so far, and every day has yielded about what is in the pic below. Two gallons of jam in freezer already, plus another batch setting right now, and two berrybreads baked so far, prob. enough for another four. If you forage hope you are doing well. I busted ass for this beer. Cheers!

The temperature topped out at 80° today in Kentuckiana and I've been drinking lots of yellow beer lately, so I figured I'd better pour a stout before someone shows up to revoke my Pooh-Bah status
