OK, back to one beer a days for me after the AAL Tasting event. Did pick a strong one, as I'm focusing on clearing bottles to make room for more cellar pulls over the next few weeks. Will save the last of this batch for a cellar review, as I reviewed this batch in the current 2024 Cellar Review Thread during the Russian Imperial Stout Tasting Event.

This is one of the few beers I prefer aged vs. fresh out of the brewery.

    Good day @ChicagoJ

Feeling a bit unwell, a cold probably that’s lasting more than it should. No cold has ever killed anyone (I think) and no medication can do much about it. I’ll let it go away this week hopefully.

    Lagunitas IPA this midday then:

    Cheers!

While being kind of sick I just watched a BBC documentary about some dude going off civilization and live in the woods in a mere cabin in Ireland. An ordinary man with much food for thought. Hardly the first documentary of the likes I watch but interesting.

If I’m going to feel like crap, I think I’ll have to feel like crap with a second beer in my system:

Good day BAs! Thanks @ChicagoJ for opening today's proceedings! And @Shanex - if you don't treat a cold, it'll last about 14 days; if you treat a cold, you'll get over it in about two weeks.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

    Heineken.
It is almost like the taste is somewhat better near the sea.
Cheers from a not very sunny Dutch coast

Survived another lawn mowing without keeling over from heat stroke. 84*F with a heat index of 90*F. Cooling off with my regular beer.

Forecast is calling for 90 the next few days - I need to get out on and in the water to cool down soon!

Hello VB. What a great weekend. Got nice and dialed in that's for sure. Sorry to hear about TX receiving remnants of Hurricane Beryl kicking some bung as it hoops & staves its way across the region. All I know is that if we got anymore significant rain up here we'd be in big trouble.
Anyways, I drum tmrw nite. So bartender...I'll order up a Point Green Circle Pale Ale. Quite surprisingly very very good beer. Super nice resin and zest linger. Cheers!

Happy Monday BA's! Having our Generac installed today so the power is off for about 5 hours. The heat index is 110 but so far not too bad inside. Publix chicken tender sub with a Pernicious for lunch.

Good afternoon BAs! I’ve been laying off the breakfast stouts lately, and the waistline is showing some improvement…enough of that - Taxman Brewing’s “Deadline” (2024), a Belgian-style BBA Imperial Stout:

Canned 4/20/24. Poured at 53°. The nose is a bit estery with bourbon right behind A solid tasting beer, I wish it had more bourbon. Plenty of booze from the 13.2%, which I like. A Tavour purchase.

I’m going to stay home and clean/pack/get ready for my trip…sorting through beers in my coolers to bring to Sheboygan…and probably drink some beer this hot/humid SW FL day - Cheers and have a monumental Monday y’all!
