    That's right, it's 3 mile walk $2 pints Tuesday. Usual walk route is still flooded, so we walked the levee side of the path. Really happy to see Boulevard Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale on tap today. Also some Kona Bjg Wave Golden Ale. Cheers!

    Dang! Good deal. I enjoy Lizard of Koz but it’s very hard to find now. We were very lucky the last time we visited Founders as they had the Koz on tap! Enjoy!

    Coffee break after a few day off chores. Enjoying this offering from Fat Orange Cat Brew Co. while dinner is braising low and slow on the stovetop.

    No date and but we received this about 5 weeks ago.

    Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 5/8 inch tan head over a pitch black body with some lacing.
    Head recedes to a thin ring in a few minutes.

    Nose of coffee, roasted malt, and a bit of chocolate malt.

    Taste of milk chocolate and malted milk. Coffee and cream is enjoyed from start through the finish.

    Feel is good with near medium carbonation.

    Overall, they had me at Imperial Coffee Stout, one of my favorite styles! Can reads Imperial Milk Stout with Coffee and on side label says "then infused with Brazilian Cold Brew just prior to packaging." Whatever, I like it!!

    Never heard this cover 'til today!

    It’s 96° outside, so after I water the plants, I’m going back inside. The car is mostly packed with non perishables…beer gets packed/iced just before I head out tomorrow morning. Cheers y’all!

    look: 3.75 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4

    Dark, murky brown pour; near black and opaque in the glass; thin, khaki head. Impressive dark chocolate nose intermingled with dark roasted grains and a whiff of whiskey. Huge barrel aged taste; chocolate and whiskey; dark roasted grain. Heavy body yet seems a bit thin for the style; lots of alcohol warmth permeating through the residual sugars.

    All in all, this barrel aged imperial stout is pretty good. The smell and taste are the high points.

    ...still awaiting a package from Kentucky...watching 'The Departed' while Mrs. BeerGoot plays pickleball and Oscar barks at neighborhood kids riding their bicycles in our driveway...
