Apparently, I drank all of my Alaskan beers. All of them better than the Hawaiian ones. Still have a couple of these swill left.

Bit of a ride, but one of my spots is basically giving these away at $6/four pack, presumably bc the BBD is 7/7/24. I will be making the ride again. Vastly underrated. Cheers!!

Beer numero-el-two-o for the evening and a long time Sierra Nevada personal favorite, I was going to take a pic in the Beer Garden but the entrance/exit is currently being blocked by one of the tenants.

We are about to get the remnants of Beryl, so a storm related Revolution Imperial Rye Stout seemed appropriate. And sure, you south and west guys scoff, but when a 20+ year old Sago Palm in a planter in Illinois gets new fronds every year, it's a celebration!! Cheers!

They procured a pallet of it, best place in my quarter of the state to get a wide ranging assortment of German brews and always the freshest available around. Even though these are "expired". Not so much! Safe travels!

I can't catch a break with these storms. This stupid hurricane, ruined my long weekend as I had to take care of a bunch of things. Then of course, my power goes out, and will not get it back for a while. The last storm, about 6 weeks ago was called a "derecho" which I have never heard of before...well I was without power for an entire week.

This time I got the hell out of dodge, and ended up in Texas Hill Country.

Visited a long time must try of mine, Acopon Brewing in Dripping Springs. @Premo88 brought this brewery to my attention some years ago. We both love traditional English cask beers, and he told me they do a really good job.

Yep, I agree, these are great.

Three casks on, all are great. I only had a taste of the ESB, I would have stayed to have a full pint, but a big storm was coming, and I have had enough of that, so I got back to my hotel ha.

Anyway...one of their rotating Special Bitters, Besma. Which is excellent.

And then Acopon's English Dark Mild, Homunculus.

This was fantastic. One of the better American versions of the style. Not only is the cask in perfect shape (for all the beers I had), but one of the few that actually has esters in English styles. Most American breweries seem to either forget that, or don't bother.

OK, back at the hotel, time to just blah out. I have not had a good couple of days...this helped a lot

Dancing Gnome's Lustra pale ale, poured with supervision. One of Pittsburgh's finest, which is cool even though I'm a Philly guy at heart. Cheers, yinz!
