    They're a straight line windstorm, similar to a tornado but without the twisting effect. Straight line winds have a done a lot of damage in these parts - they usually happen during a thunderstorm.

    The scary thing is how early in the season all these storms are occurring - like hurricane Beryl. That's the type of storm that you would expect to see in August or September. The ocean is so warm now it's allowing these mega storms to develop. Doesn't bode well for the rest of the hurricane season. Cheers!

    Madagascar is famous for the hissing cockroach, I know that. That has to beat some fancy vanilla beans. That said, I hope I see this one around town!

    Another thing great about Acopon...they had a Euro Cup game on the one TV they had. A bunch of regulars watching, and it was fun. When the game ended, they turned the damn TV OFF, and it was just people hanging a chatting. Acopon is basically my ideal pub and brewery, to bad I have to drive 3 hours to get there ha.
