What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #4280

A little age on this Julius canned 5-17-24 but still very enjoyable.

 

Just finished up a 12 mile hike gaining 3,000 vertical feet. Time for some hydration!

 

Getting around to a 2019 New Holland Dragon’s Milk Triple Mash from @Whyteboar. Five-ish year mark. Hotter alcohol bite than I expected, keeps the thin mouth feel of the 2024. Has a tannic astringency that reminds me of the sip of BBT I had at a Mortalis bottle share. Finishes with a slightly sweet vibe. I dug these a lot. Hopefully, we see more again.

 

A very good IPA.

 

She sounds great, nice voice and very pretty. I wish her much success.

 

I love taking that left turn off the Byway in front of it and heading to our happy place.

Poured into a 13 oz Snulip glass canned 6/11/24. Pours a very attractive near pitch black with a finger mocha head that settles rather quickly for my liking leaving 0 head. 4

Aroma is massive sweet slightly charred bourbon, oaked vanilla, maple syrup, deep dark chocolate, and coffee grounds. A bunch going on. 4.5

Taste follows bold woody bourbon, dark chocolate, maple, vanilla, and coffee. 4.25

Mouthfeel is a little bigger than average, slightly watery carbonation, a tad dry, and at 14.75% a sipper with enough going on to get it down sooner than you should. 3.75

Overall this is nice, the body is my biggest complaint. Really nice, but get that body some beef and this score would jump big time. 4

Or, MGD as it's called.
I haven't had it in years, mostly because I buy High Life if I'm going the cheap domestic Pils route.
I gotta say, on these 90* plus heat wave days we've been having as of lately, this brew hits the mark.
It's a crisper version of High Life, which makes it incredibly quaffable when you are parched.
I'm glad I got a 30pk, because it's gonna be over 90 all week.

 

Happy to find this (and a shelf full of BCBS variants) in St Louis yesterday. Annoyed we don't get Founders special releases in LR anymore.

It’s 90+ here in Seattle, which is a lot for us. Going into the office this week, so I have a commute to deal with. Now home, watching some cricket (Seattle Orcas, “America’s Favorite Cricket Team”), and havin’ a Steel String Twin House, a pretty solid pilsner.
