We apparently have gone too long without some wildfires. Yesterday one erupted near Loveland about 20 mi. away and while driving back from the P.O. today, I noticed a big smoke cloud that seemed too close to be the Loveland fire. Turns out it was about 5-6 miles away from the pic taking vantage point.

And sorry to learn it was a new fire right on a ridge flanking Rabbit Mountain. Long time BA members will know I take a lot of pics on my hikes up there. Now it is covered in smoke. On the left hand side of the foto is a ridge on fire and just below and to the right is where I hike.

Zero containment on both fires with this one being about 100 acres and the Loveland one about 3600 acres.

Enjoying a nice Italian style pilsner called Well Acquainted an Amalgam and Bierstadt collab.

 

It’s the monsoon season out here ,lots of sand already add the rainwater.

 

Hmmmmm. Doesn't do much for me. Don't mind a rice beer but this lacks a whole lotta hop flavor. Oh well, after voodoo ranger

Sorry to hear about the fires….sound too close for comfort. Crazy times. We are entering the period down here where we’re getting chased around the state by hurricanes. 2022 was miserable here.

Spent all day with my princess, baby Raulita. And now this lovely offering that was bottled on June 22nd: @Braunmeister_1943 vlub Raul is open!

 

It’s very good and now year round. They quietly make excellent traditional style beers as well as the IPAs for which they are known. If you see Alpenglow then give it a whirl - a tasty weizenbock. Cheers.
