One more new beer after the ribs/chicken food coma. I believe this the last new brew from the Mizzou haul, had higher hopes, still spent $ 120+ Beer hunting in Tulsa Mid-week, so that has me hopeful

Magnify 1 of 1. I did not like the bottle I brought to the Mortalis 6th anniversary line share. This one is drinking a little better, though it’s not really hitting all cylinders for me. I’m not quite sure why. Maybe vanilla as the only adjunct is too much for me? IDK. The base is good, there are nice barrel qualities, a tasty twang on the end…maybe it needs more aeration time?

 

I am kind of in the mood for some Bruce. Been a while .

Thanks, I did a recipe I saw on you tube. It was 275 degrees for 2 hours and an hour wrapped at 275, then a 1/2 hour unwrapped with a glaze of honey bbq sauce.
The cake will remain pristine because I enjoy living.

Agreed. I used to take “aging well” for granted from stouts, but not any more. Now it’s wise to test them along the way. Dogfish Head World Wide Stouts continuously, IMO. I have about a case on the cellar shelves…2016s if memory serves…
