I replaced my entry way stair treads today and I can tell you old construction plain sucks. Now I have to get under and stop the squeak.[IMG] [IMG]

Well, this is interesting: a collaboration between Ommegang and DeKoninck. I haven't had the latter since the last time I was in Belgium, more than 30 years ago. This starts off a bit on the sweet side, then dries out quickly.

Looking good . Will you stain the treads?. Squeaks aren’t a bad thing ,i quite enjoyed them in my last house (1905) had maple and oak floors thru out.

From a 16oz can with no date on it.

This is a beautiful clear golden pouring beer. There's a 1 1/2 finger white head. This beer has good head retention, and a small bit of lacing on the glass.
The aroma of this beer is slightly tropical in nature. It is somewhat mild, but tropical notes are there.
Taste - The flavor is stronger than the nose. Citrus tropical hops are the main flavor here. Pineapple and grapefruit hit here. There's a slight bit of pine in the flavor. There's also a good earthy hit to this beer.
I do like the body. It is decent. There's a clingy feeling from the hops.
    Tasty beer overall.

At GRR, heading to Colorado for a lightning fast trip. This is Founder’s Oktoberfest which they claim is a “German style Marzen” and if this is what they throw in barrels for “ultimate”, those are truly magical barrels.
Maybe it’s an old keg, don’t know, but not one of my top 50 marzens.

...just got back from the in-home military honors ceremony for our neighbor Tactical Bob...it wasn't a VA program but something the Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care organization did...it was a small, intimate group of family and friends at Bob's bed side, the program tastefully done...Major Robert Vegvary, USA, Ret., seemed appreciative...he's a tough little Hungarian runt (born in Hungary during WWII), grew up in Toledo, OH, and was an Army special forces liaison officer in Vietnam in the early 60s as well as an educator during his post-military career...left a bottle of Pliny the Elder with his wife...don't know if he'll be able to partake, but it's there for him all the same...
