I don’t often have more than one beer in a sitting. But I’m sitting out on the patio watching the seaplanes take off and land in the distance on Lake Washington, the blue Cascades behind them; it’s a perfect, partly cloudy Thursday afternoon in the high 60s; and I’ve got Van Morrison playing. So sure, I’ll have another. Cheers!

My mom often tells my dad, me, and my brother-in-law, that we're number one. She's old and so often uses the wrong finger, but we know what she means.

Sometimes you share a beer with the person you love (but give her the in-"appropriate" glassware)

I like this one; it has an odd earthy-to-stem-laden herb in it that intrigues me as it harkens memories of "good oxidation" you get in well-aged beers. Odd thing that I've never noted in a fairly fresh IPA other than, perhaps, 120 Minute (which is a whole different experience.

Stepping back from that initial impression, it's mostly like a cross of classic and NE IPAs (leaning more west-coast, especially in the finish). Starts out a little stale-to-grainy, then gets somewhat sweetly fruity (peach, tropical, and sugar), then gets pithy to grapefruity, then bitters up with the piney.

My "y" key is very tired (despite being able to step up and start this sentence) - but I have this as a beer that I like, though I could see others being less enthused by.

It’s my favorite time of the year here in Northern Indiana, because of the weather, and also because of the beers that are seasonally available like this Festbier from a brewery noted for its hoppy beer. Lots of cracker malt and a nice bit of noble hops. Good stuff, IMHO.

It's uncanny sometimes.... it either aligns with my latest college e-mail blast, current politics, or some stupid shit that I've done prior.... *sigh* - it's like having a Magic 8 Ball for a calendar.

How'd you like it? I liked my Richmond-ish area brew just above - no pressure to reciprocate, though

I actually have not had that particular beer from Right Proper, so am interested in your thoughts. Their farmhouse and sours were the first things I noted by them, though they have a decent IPA with "wolves" in the name (I think), as well.

Yes the Mrs will prob pick the stain out but I have a combo of hardwood and Pergo flooring but all oak or oak tone. This house was built in 1970 so it's time for riser/stringer tune up.

Well...I think @beergoot and @ATL6245 have successfully pumped up my online ego to where I'm a "Legend in my Own Mind"

So might as spin some Carly Simon. Love this album, love the cover photo. As a wee lad, this made me a bit excited ha. It is also a ridiculously good album.

A classic Saint Arnold Amber in the glass.

#2, same genus as beer #1 (Oktoberfest), this is in the Marzen style and still drinking exceptionally well 9 months after its “Best By” date (thank you, way-too-big beer fridge for hiding this gem). Lots of caramel and toffee notes with a kiss of noble hops. Metropolitan is definitely missed as a brewer of magnificent lagers in the Chicagoland area.

Happy Thursday ba. Into it here with Hereafter, ofest, from Threes brewing. First time having this one and it’s very good. Dry and crisp upfront with subtle sweetness and floral hops on the finish. Good notes of toffee, brown bread, and honey,
