    This is just me, but if you are in the Sarasota area, I would leave sooner than later.

    Check out The Eyewall for really good updates on hurricanes. They mostly focus around Houston. but will also give analysis to basically anywhere in the Gulf that will be hit by hurricanes.

    Home after a fun afternoon tipping a couple at the pub…on Monday evening there is now live music…picked up a couple of six packs to get the week going ahead of the hurricane…on the balcony drinking a Fat Head’s “Head Hunter” IPA:

    ...my friend and neighbor Tactical Bob died this morning around 9:30 AM...Robert Vegvary, USA, retired (Special Forces / Rangers) was around 85 or 86...he passed away at home with his cat Butters sleeping in his bed with him...he loved hoppy, west coast-style India pale ales...he wasn't a big whiskey drinker, but we shared a few shots together the last few times Mrs. BeerGoot and I joined him and his wife in their home over the years...this IPA (and shot) is for Bob...:beer:

    Yeah, I'm sure you are and know what to do. Though I think it is one thing if you are just there for vacation...it won't be fun ha.

    Take care, I have been through my share of hurricanes at home, for work (I was stuck on an oil rig in the middle of the Gulf, it was a semi sub, so it was able to move itself just out of the way, but still not a good few days), and leaving early on vacation as well...
