Fieldwork Pulp IPA (Citra). My first time trying these guys and it doesn't disappoint. Saturated Citra goodness. Big orange character in the form of valencia orange juice and peel and clementine, as well as ruby red grapefruit, passionfruit, rose water, pineapple, earthiness, grass. Soft and silky. Dry with a pleasantly bitter finish. Those California breweries just know how to brew a hoppy beer.

You guys are making me feel inferior. I don't have that kind of recall of what a beer was like years ago compared to now. :flushed:

I'll chime in on this one, as I lived and grew up near 3 Floyds. ZD was way better back in the day. Not even close. I know palates change over the years, but this is a clear difference. It's still a solid option, but back in it's heyday it was truly world class and an excellent showcase of the Citra hop when the hop was fairly new to the craft beer scene. I'll never forget trying it for the first time on draft. Crazy experience. @Prager62 @eppCOS @TwilightBeerCareer

Well, I must admit Zombie Dust is a special occasion beer for me now, beings it's over my self imposed beer budget. Along with many other beers I really like, but don't like the price.

Hey young man, how are doing? What are you hitting in the deadlift? Doing any singles or mostly just low reps?

Dipping into the cellar tonight. Rio Reserva from De Struise. Bottled in July of 2016. A Belgian quad with first maturation was in their tanks, second in St. Emillion wine barrels, third in bourbon barrels from Kentucky. Tasting amazing! Cheers!

I like it, but I doubt I'll buy it again. I'm not fond of the hop bill described as "new school hops". But I'm not sorry I tried it.

Clearly intuitive as usual with a great read on the situation, sir!

Coal-walking is typically our rite of initiation here at the pit. Obviously.

Tonight's attendees were all members of high degree in our order.

So I’m going to chime in on the ZD conversation. I enjoyed a few from a trade at least 10 or more years ago and was blown away by the balance between the malt and the hops, which were of a citrus and pineapple taste and very prominent. Fast forward to a month ago, when I asked my brother to bring some back from his trip to Indiana. The taste was malt and a lot of bitterness, with little of the more fruity hops I remembered. And the cans were fresh. I don’t know if my memory is tricking me or the profile on ZD has changed.

Yeah that and TG Sue were the two best Citra APA’S ( or just brews to buy) 12 years ago, both are good now but nothing like they were . @Prager62
