    1) BlackStack Crowd Control (8.0% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Mosaic, Cashmere & Strata for flavors of grapefruit, pineapple, strawberry, green melon, and mango
    versus
    1) BlackStack Spinning Plates (8.2% no canning date): A NEIPA from Minnesota with Nectaron, El Dorado, Mosaic & HBC 586 for flavors of tropical orange, grape, lychee, pineapple, and mango. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

Happy Saturday and BlackStack IPA Battle.
First is Crowd Control. Nice showcase of Strata for grapefruit, strawberry, and tropical melon, and mango.
Next is Spinning Plates. Shows the HBC 586 well with strong lychee and guava flavors. A bit more zesty and clean. Excellent hop profile and give this HBC586 a new name because its wonderful.
    Winner: Spinning Plates

Helene has passed, and we were lucky to only have a brief loss of power. I spent the day cutting up fallen branches and dragging them to the pile that the city may pick up Monday.

Those self-pour gigs are heaven and hell. Heaven because it's "beer tic-city" and hell because they usually charge an arm and a leg/oz. (At least in my personal experience.) Enjoy, prost!

Happy Saturday BA's! Currently at HighGrain Brewing Company's relatively new 2nd location. They are having an Oktoberfest event today. Live music and all sorts of fun things. Drinking a Meadow...their Fest Bier.

A few bucks worth of Omnegang Hennepin.
These self pour taps are costly and dangerous.
But, being able to sample a few sips of something is nice.
    This was our wedding beer.
We still have 2 corked 750ml bottles left, after 26 years.
Probably not the best after all this time, but worth holding on to, just because.
We drank one on our 10th anniversary and it was still delicious.
    Cheers!

Another classic. Trying to make it through the weekend w/o drinking a single hazy. Pray for me. Peace...

    Agreed.
But it's nice to grab a few sips of something different without being dedicated to a pint.
However, if it's something you like, yet screwed.

Watching Michigan get too complacent in the 2nd half. Somehow letting Minnesota creep back in the game. Portnoy putting up NIL money to get a top 10 QB next year. Oy vey.

Sipping on an Oatmeal Stout from Founders. Good ol standard drinkable Oatmeal Stout. Yummy. Go Blue!!

That beer looks flatter than a board, they have some real CO2 issues with their lines? :grimacing:

I'm sticking to my guns on this one: I like it, overly hoppy and all. Just cover up the label and pretend you're drinking one fine pale ale.

@crazyspicychef I've never seen one of these self-pour places. Would you mind snapping and posting a photo of the tap/price list?
