What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #4365

I'm sad to report that my mother, Madeline, passed away this morning. She was 83. In hospice for 2 months (that's why I've been going back n forth to Cincy) and passed peacefully at home with family by her side. I cried more 3 years ago when she was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. So, it's a sad day for me & others but also a beautiful day in many other ways. I have 59 plus years of incredible memories that are unforgettable. I wanna enjoy every day even more now. So, I'll be going back to Ohio and Indiana for her services. Here's what's really wild: My wife's mom Linda passed away exactly 1 year ago today. <> As you can imagine, I might just be ready for a beer. Keeping things light now with Grain Belt Premium Light Lager. I'm doing alright and I found some fresh new Hammerheart beers! Enjoy life my friends.

 

Well, life goes on for the living. The other night my wife reminded me about a trip we took to Memphis a few yrs ago. Man did we have a good time! Beale St can be very funky. I really enjoyed touring the Gibson guitar factory, finding funky old blues music, and tipping copious bottles of SN Pale Ale and Yuengling. In an alley across from BB Kings is a basement BBQ restaurant called Rendezvous. Amazing dry rub style and pitchers of beer. I wanna go back!!
Another GB Premium Light here. As mentioned in my profile status, in the last few drum events mother nature has soiled my armor! Saturday I had to set up off stage under an elm tree and those things weep sap...and so I've been sapped. Top heads, partially on the shells, and on the obverse of every cymbal excluding the btm hi hat. And I had just cleaned & polished my cymbals b4 my last trip. Uhg. Double uhg. Plus all my chrome isn't sliding smoothly. I think I'll have 2 beers.
