Along here again ba. Whisper, marzen, tree house. Heavier on the malt but it’s still very crisp and clean. Notes of dark toasted bread, caramel, and some nutty notes. Good stuff,

Gnosis Diverge IPA (Citra, Galaxy, NZ Cascade, Nelson). They purposely did a higher attenuation on this one to make a drier, crisper, and more drinkable hazy. Their regular hazies are never too sweet, but this one almost gives it a hazy west coast vibe and I dig it. Getting passionfruit, NZ funk, guava, yellow grapefruit, tangelo, earthiness, lime, kiwi, and pine resin.

I have a few stouts (e.g. BCBS 2019 and a 2023) that were stored in a cool area). Moved them and saw this. It is the last of a 2023 Christmas beer box I got from my daughter. Tastes ok.

From a 16oz can. No date on the can.

This beer has a very clear golden pour to it. I am somewhat surprised by it. There's a thick 3 finger fluffy white heat to this beer that prevents me from pouring the whole can in at once. Great head retention, and there's some lacing on the glass. This beer does murk up a bit as I pour in the rest of the can.
The wheat flavor is pleasing with a great mix of the banana and cloves.
Taste - Very strong with the banana flavor up front with the cloves right behind. I get a huge bubblegum flavor on the back, and have to wonder if there's some Belgian yeast in here. It is quite pleasing.
The body seems pretty damn good for the style. Full, and smooth.
I like this style, and this beer is a good representation of the style.

It was way better than I expected to be honest. Intensely bitter and not too boozy. One of my favorite 9.5+% ABV IPAs out there

Drekker Oops! All Berries BRAAAAAAAAins Fruited Sour, 6.2% ABV. Pours opaque maroon with a slight ring of bubbles. Aroma is a medley of berries (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry) though blueberry stands out. Taste follows, equally tart and sweet. Excellent smooth mouthfeel, overall excellent to outstanding-adjacent.

I knew they would eventually get around to reissuing this guy. Paired with Ommegang/DeKoninck's Super Bolleke.

Speaking of that, when I was in Amsterdam in 1993, I remember ordering a DeKoninck at a bar. They were served in tiny glasses, two at a time IIRC. The guy gives me two glasses of water. I said (politely) WTF? He replies, "you wanted tonic, no?"

Wow this is a really good performance. "Sneakin' Sally Through The Alley", live at Red Rocks on 7/12/24 by The String Cheese Incident.

Such a damn fine band, I love their percussion section.
