G'day, all! At The Brass Tap, Cedar Falls, IA, enjoying a Backpocket (Coralville, IA) 9th Anniversary Russian Imperial Stout. Here's the brewer's description:

I took my time with this to let it warm a bit. Big aromas of coconut and chocolate up front that are muted a bit on the palate. A little boozy, with some nice whiskey barrel character, dark roasted malt, and char. Silky mouthfeel, surprisingly low sweetness, and a hint of tannic astringence on the finish. Paired with a freshly baked pretzel. Cheers!

as long as we're not giving woody any money via tickets or merch i feel ok i guess. i haven't had hope in years so i just laugh at the misery at this point. as i type this the pats just scored. lovely.

 

The newest iteration i've found of Twin Elephant Nosh. The hops in this version are Eggers Select and Riwaka. Can't say i've ever heard of Eggers Select before, but it seems to have a big pepper spice which balances the Riwaka nicely

1.5 ish acres doesn’t sound like a lot to manage unless you’re fat and old like me. Then, that is a hellacious amount of property. Mulching and moving the first round of leaves. There will be at least o e more round, judging by the colorful foliage remaining. Having a Genny Black, that I bought online to a pending trade with @not2quick . I’ll tell you, it’s not a bad drink to consume doing this grunt work. Drinks light, but has a full flavor with a substantial wuh pow. No pic, but the can is ridiculous…a bomber can. Its massive.
