Friggn' flies are rediculous in my kitchen for the last few weeks. And we have had all the windows and doors closed. They drive me crazy, but at least none have landed in my beers yet!

Chicago Tavern pies are great

It’s Nov 2nd, so officially late enough in the year to start putting up Chirstmas decorations. Call me crazy but we got a lot of stuff and it’s not going to put up itself. Plus and admittedly more importantly, it’s a great excuse to start drinking winter beers.

So starting the evening with this vintage Samiclaus. I think this is 2022, as I remember there was no fresh Samiclaus in my area in 2023, and I have a bunch of bottles that have 2021 on them.

It’s drinking really good. Huge caramel, toffee, dark fruits, some Christmas spices. Absolutely love this beer.

 

Ellicotvillle Monroe Street Pilsner.

I forgot this in the freezer and couldn’t get all the slush out. Oh well. The beer is good. Excellent even. Floral and crispy Pilsner.

Nice beer! Had a couple of cases last year but haven’t seen them this year.

 

Upping the ante with Flannel Weather at 9% ABV. Toes the line with booze but does not cross, and well...Nelson is bringing this home. Cheers ta yinz

One of my favorites in the glass...two times Traquair House Ale.

 

They don’t drink a lot if you pick them out quickly!
