I thought so too, but it must have been moved from the Beer News forum.

I think their beer is popular enough that some tinkering with their business plan and cutting some expenses may be all they need.

I wish I could get their beers in Michigan. Their core beers are styles that I really enjoy.

Same here. Stammtisch was one of the lagers in the BA lager case sold through Half Time. They had leftovers of this beer as well as some Enegren and Dovetail ones I ended up getting as many as I could. Neither one of these is distributed here.

That's interesting. I bought some of the Old Nation Maibocks, but I didn't see any mention of a collab. I'll have to look more closely at it when I get home. Maybe I missed something.

Another Pilsner-- Bay Drifter from Aslan Brewing in Wash.

Light bodied with a sudsy mouthfeel. Aromatic with resin, an herbal note, and straw. This is a rather plain and simple Lager. Rather sweet and grainy with a pleasant kiss of hops. Aftertaste is cereal and a slight bitterness with herbal hops that remind me of the European kind. I also think of spruce tips.

Better suited to a hot afternoon, not crisp fall afternoon.

Enjoyed another one from Fort George in Astoria, Oregon: Shadowed Sun Helles.

Pleasant grainy aroma. Very clean and light flavors. Slightly sweet to start with that touch of malt that makes the Helles style more than just a pale Lager. Browned biscuit notes and a green herbal finish, all quite restrained and stylish. Highly quaffable with enough flavor to enjoy to the end.

The wording of the brewery's description is a little unclear about whether this beer is all Michigan-grown ingredients (their description says "locally-sourced hops (Zuper Saazer) and the finest Pilsner malt"), but given the beer's name and the colors used on the can (pretty darn similar to maize and blue), and even the use of the 1 digit, I'd say yes. It's a tasty one.

I was vaguely interested in the U. MI vs. U. OR football game. I think of it as the battle of the yellows. Maize vs. lemon (or whatever yellow shade the team from Nike has adopted these days). Everybody else says "gold".

Lemon is a good word description for what I saw.

I'm not a big fan of college football. Nike supports UofO but most colleges lose money on the sport. With the advent of NIL payments to players, it's going to cost even more to play. I don't begrudge the players an improved situation, but the coaching salaries and infrastructure costs are out of control. Who will pay the costs? This is a good excuse for my commuter college alma mater to give up football.

Sooner or later the ticket prices have to reach a maximum acceptable amount for the masses.

Rasenmäher-Bier from Enegren Brewing somewhere near the Ventura County wildfires.

I enjoyed this a year ago-- they call it a "Crystal Wheat Lager." This is clean and crisp with a distinct bitter finish. Sudsy and quaffable with a lively mouthfeel. Quite aromatic with green herbs and that distinctive Euro hop note. Glad it's a regular beer from one of my favorite Lager makers in California.

Dropping a Dry Hopped Japanese rice lager here, with Tree House Komoresi : Natsukashi a 4.7% beer from the famous brewery in central Mass. Sent to me by the illustrious @Roy_Hobbs thank you good sir!

    Onto my review:

Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my .5 L dimple mug. the can was received about 1 month ago and is date stamped Autumn 2024.
the beer pours a lightly hazy golden color with a fluffy bleached white head of 2 cm foaming up. This foam fades to a sturdy surface covering and leave some windowpane lattice on my glass. Wish the clarity was better for this lager.
Aroma is much more hop forward than I expected, I get some citrus notes and a bit of melon rind. Also very mild white bread malt but hops steal the show on the nose.
the first sip reveals a light body with smooth texture and gentle rolling carbonation. Beer drinks very easy on the physical traits.
Flavor is similar to the nose with a bit of bready malt and then some lemony notes and a bit of spicy hop note on the finish. Beer dries out on the finish and in general is pretty mild. I actually wonder what a non-dry hopped version would be like as the hops dominate any malt notes. Glad to have tried it, but I definitely dont love it as it doesnt seem to really know what it is.
