What beer are you drinking now? #4432

Surly Abrasive (9.2% canned 10/9/2024): An Imperial IPA from Minnesota with Citra hops for flavors of orange citrus rind, green pine, smooth orange and caramel with a strong bitterness.

Maybe the best imperial IPA I've had. Two months now. Bitter, flavorful, malty, rich. Yet still bitter and not overly sweet, amazingly at 9.2%. The IPA sweet spot for me seems to be between 7.0-8.5%. This expands the boundaries and probably the best supra 9.0% I've had.

There is no reliable source for Heady around here. It's like if it shows up it shows up. Right now, nobody around here has it. You seem to have a pretty reliable source. As far as the anniversary version goes, it's unlikely that we'll ever see it around here. Cheers and enjoy!!

I was curious about BCBS Macaroon Stout after reading the mixed reviews. I did not like it at all. The ginger and bourbon are so harsh that I'm going to have to take Tums later. Spending so much for a bottle that is essentially a drain pour is very disappointing! Cheers, all!

 

Figuring out something to do with these leftover fajita veggies. Decided on some potato hash. We'll see how this grilling experiment turns out. Accompanied by the King of beers-Tree House King Julius. Cheers!
