What beer are you drinking now? #4433

1) Drekker Truly, Madly, Deeply (8.2% canned 11/4/24): A NEIPA from North Dakota with Simcoe Cryo, Citra Cryo, Citra and HBC 586 for flavors of grapefruit, passionfruit, pineapple, tropical mango/melon.
versus
2) Drekker Doomsday Device (8.3% canned 10/28/24): A NEIPA from North Dakota with Mosaic for flavors of dank orange, tropical berries, blueberries, mango juice. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)


Winner: Drekker Doomsday Device
Drekker IPA Battle. First is Truly, Madly, Deeply. Fantastic hop flavors. Grapefruit, passionfruit and pineapple zest. This is growing on me and quite excellent.
Next is Doomsday Device. One of my favorites from them with all Mosaic. Bright tropical berries balanced by Citrus.
This is a hard call but slight edge to Doomsday Device. I have been increasingly impressed with Drekker IPAs more recently. Three years ago I thought there was a lot of hop burn. They seem to have improved over the past few years.

 

Now that’s a good looking label. Enjoying a Saint Thomas O.G. from Fieldwork.

 

Sun fading in an hour or so Enjoying a Stone straight from the can on the porch. Will watch MNF ,and have both dueling RB in different FF leagues . Chase Brown and Rico Dowdle.

I don’t drink Sam beers much anymore, but I still buy this iconic Octoberfest every year, and I still really dig it - loads of malty flavors, with a nice little bit of noble hops for balance. Really good stuff, IMHO.

 

This is hitting the spot!

Drekker Fluff Stuff Mango Mallow Fruited Sour, 6% ABV. Pours thin and opaque orange with no head. Aroma is a real nice mango and vanilla/mallow. Flavor is mango and slight vanilla, equally sweet, tart, and bitter. Mouthfeel is thin with light carbonation, overall very good.
