My Reuben’s advent calendar came with a little coupon for a pint at one of their taprooms, so I’m at the Fremont taproom having a pint of helles. Crispy!

It has been ages since I checked out the Tri Cities brewery scene (though I did hit up Sage in Pasco last year). I should put Kennewick on the list for this summer!

 

Hop Butcher Double Grid. Citra & Mosaic hopped, CO 11/25. HB makes some of the best hazies in the country.

 

Weather looking nice for end of December.

I'd hit up Moonshot in Kennewick (with a satellite pub in Richland) and White Bluffs in Richland for sure. Sage was pretty good in the small amount I've had. This place, I'd only hit for the view, honestly. The beers are similar to what you'd get at a somewhat homebrew-y place in the 00s, but you pay $8/pint on average.

 

Now drinking Wheat Head's eponymous wheat ale. Basically it's a lighter and blander version of something along the lines of the old Pyramid Hefe.

Late first beer. I sure managed to put the hurt on myself with the drinks+beers yesterday.

Got into late-night tunes. As the Central Scrutinizer warns, "music causes BIG TROUBLE".

I could theoretically not drink today.





Just a theory. Best not to test it.

Got a chunk of rib in the sous vide bath for 6 hours so far. Looking forward to a piece of heart attack meat. Until then Tilted Barn Hex IPA. Belleflower/T Barn.

 

This week's emotional sunset piece is dedicated to Minnesota Vikings fans! Your hopes are high, but the Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings game tomorrow is when the Sam Darnold carriage turns into a pumpkin. And Aaron Jones shows his age, while Josh Jacobs displays his youth. @Danmullens1, I took your advice. I traveled to the Rayborhood to get this beer. I am not a huge fan of milkshake IPAs, but this is the best one available. Skol!
