What beer are you drinking now? #4455

Kinda enjoying the Michigan game…both of my parents earned multiple degrees there…me, I don’t care for Alabama…still a Ho hum I don’t care game. A Head Hunter on the porch watching some road repair:



So you may be asking yourselves, how many men does it take to fill a shallow 8’ x 3’ hole? Correct!, 9 men plus 1 supervisor!!, a mixer and 3 crew trucks…It’s New Year’s Eve, I wonder if anyone is on time and a half?…Anyhoo, glad to have the hole filled!

Too early to start the tacos…I’ll find another IPA. Cheers gang!

 

3 Sheeps Cuvee 2024 Blend (13.2%): A blended BBA Imperial Stout from Wisconsin with flavors of dark chocolate, cocoa, earth, oak, wood and bourbon. Hot, heavy, and sweet.

This beer is courtesy of 3 Sheeps from our Sheboygan event last summer. A generous gift of one of their finest beers. I figured NYE would be a celebratory time to drink this, but it will probably take me a few days to work through.
This is a blend of four fantastic BBA Stouts with an emphasis on the wood and oak flavors. It deserves my best review. Pours dark, thick, and the head is milder because of this. Intense aromas and flavors. It was really hot right out of the bottle, but taming down extremely nicely as it sits for a few minutes. Rich dark cocoa, earth, oak, fudge. The bourbon heat is settling allowing for a smooth and rich body. Not an expert at these, but I can tell this is an incredible BBA stout. I would not miss this brewery if you are in Wisconsin.

Done with stouts for today. Opted for a drastic change of direction...Urban Artifact Spicy Pickle.

You need to get your hands on an Orval glass. They're designed with a wide opening so the foam gets dispersed horizontally rather than vertically, then you won't have that issue. Cheers!!

Last day of Christmas glasses. This new IPA is a heavy hitter at 9.6% but goes down too easily

 

Wrapping up the year with what is usually an old reliable but tastes a bit off this time. Anyone have any issues with the batch canned on 11/7?
