    Intimate Lighting Czech Pale Lager from Solaris Beer near Temecula

    Delicate aroma of cereal and grass. Taste is clean and crisp, slightly sweet to start, with a bit of rye bread lingering in the aftertaste. Just a slight bitterness and even some taste of honey. But there is a tangy note that give it some balance. Overall this is a very tasty and quaffable light beer and seems like a good example of the style. Certainly more flavorful than the words "Light Lager" suggest, but not overhopped.

    The new label on this lucious Lunch has a story about the organization Allied-Whale that can identifiy 11,000 individual whales by fin and tail pictures. This led me down an Internet rabbit hole until I found a picture of the actual Finback called Lunch. Here he/she is, complete with bite our of dorsal. Cheers and Happy New Year!

    Just finishing a Left Hand Double Milk Stout after a nice hike this morning out in the Pisgah NF along the Davidson River which was running heavy after some rain this week. Listening to Rock Bar on Sirius, one of my favorites from yesteryear.
