ISIL cross-post. As @Danmullens1 highlighted last night, the release of Central Waters Brewing Cassian Sunset in cans is very exciting. The release in stores this week was about the only highlight in a rough week for Wisconsin. It started with the Green Bay Packers being competitive in their NFL playoff game for about 2 seconds after kickoff, then freezing temperatures set in, then we lost our state's most beloved resident, Bob Uecker. Summers will never be the same without him.

 

Thanks Larry, he sounds great, I never get tired of of his music.

Another from Burdock Brewing. Overall a fine Helles. True to the style and well worth a try.

I will have to give this brewery some more love. I probably overlooked them because they don't do many of my favourite styles but what they do, they do well.

Happy Saturday afternoon! Shoutout to @Shanex for kicking it off! Enjoying a Wild Air Beerworks “Outer Dark “ Baltic Porter on this dreary Saturday afternoon in SEPA! I cross posted this on the Baltic Porter appreciation thread! We saw our eldest daughter off to college this morning for her spring semester of her sophomore year!

Out to brunch with my son and his family at a place called Rail Trail in Milford, Ma. There is another one in Hudson also. Great food and phenomenal beer lineup. If you live in the area it’s a must visit.

J Wakefield Brewing Union of the Snake Imperial Stout. Nicely rum barrel aged, coconut, cinnamon and cheese cake notes. Kind of a crummy picture but I was dodging an elbow. “ You know I don’t like it when you take pictures in a restaurant Mike” Cheers!

 

Boulevard Bourbon and Red Wine BA Baltic Porter, 11.5% ABV. I rated this 3.95 back in October. This was part of their Barrel Aged 2024 Mix Pack.

 

Horror of the Shade from Invictus Brewing. Delicious.

 

Growth and Change - Winter, a Saison brewed with mushrooms and pine needles. A unique brew for sure. The Seed has the rep and confidence to brew some cool stuff.
