I opened this last night and I’m finishing it while wrapping my shift up from home. A rather interesting version of BCBS Prop.

I’ve been on an instrumental guitar rock kick the last two days.

 

No - norovirus is more of a stomach/gastric thing with vomiting and diarrhea. But yes, that's going around too, supposedly at record levels in some places. Cheers!

 

Lots of people around here reporting the same. My wife had RSV, lingering for weeks. I caught it from her, not as bad but still long- lived. My physical therapist got it too. Bad juju this year. Lots of fluids, I also recommend Hot and Sour soup.

 

I stubbled into my first 6 pack of this fresh today. $12.99 yes please.

 

Prefer the bottles…probably just me.

1) New Glarus Cabin Fever (6.0%): A Maibock from Wisconsin with flavors of pale malts, smooth honey.
versus
2) Great Lakes Christmas Ale (7.5%): A Winter Warmer from Ohio with flavors of rich bread, caramel, maple syrup and iced gingerbread cookie.

Honey Beer Battle. First is New Glarus Cabin Fever, listed as a Maibock. Pale malts, some smooth honey flavors. Nothing too exciting here.
Next is Great Lakes Christmas. Honey, ginger, gingerbread and cinnamon spices. Amazing. Not really a battle here. I expected more from New Glarus on this one.
Winner: Great Lakes Christmas Ale

Jack's Oktoberfest wasn't distributed here last year but at least we have this.

 

I also got the RSV vaccine last year, but that just means you would get a milder case. I feel a lot better today although my ribs and abs still hurt from coughing. Tuesday night I couldn't sleep I was coughing so much and then I had a brief period where I was getting the chills as well. Weird stuff for sure. Cheers!!

Drekker Newsflash Buddy NEIPA, 6.5% ABV. Pours hazy golden with a two-finger off-white head that left great lacing. Aroma is citrus, tropical fruit, and faint pine. Flavor is grapefruit and tropical fruit, faintly sweet, moderately bitter. Decent mouthfeel, overall very good.
